COVID-19 Updates
At Hock Family Dentistry, infection control has always been a top priority.
Our office has always followed infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.
Changes you'll see at your next appointment:
- When you get to the office, you will be prompted with parking lot signs to notify us that you have arrived. A Hock Family Dentistry team member will ask you health screening questions related to COVID-19.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office, as well as providing you with a mask if you do not have one. You will also find hand sanitizer in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
- You may see team members wearing additional PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during your appointment. This is in place to best protect you and the team member treating you.
- Each room is equipped with an extraoral dental suction unit designed to safely capture chair-side aerosols and protect our office from airborne contaminants. These suction units are the best on the market, with Stage 2 HEPA Filters capturing 99.97% of contaminants at 0.3 Microns.
- The office is equipped with three centralized air purifiers with HEPA filters and sanitizing UV lights to purify our office air 5 times per hour effectively removing airborne pollen, dust, does mites, odors, mold/mildew spores, gasses, fumes, fragrance, VOCs, allergens, bacteria, chemicals, and more.
- You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children's toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect and can spread disease.
- Finally, we ask that when possible, you come alone to your appointments.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice!
